How to Download and Install TeamViewer Host
At Smeetz, we use TeamViewer Host to provide fast and secure remote support. Follow the steps below to download, install, and properly configure the tool.
1. Download TeamViewer Host
Click on this link to download TeamViewer Host x64
Save the file on your computer.
2. Install TeamViewer
Double-click the downloaded file.
Select Standard Installation.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
3. Provide Access to the Smeetz Agent
Once TeamViewer is installed, click on “Sign in with your TeamViewer ID.” If needed, create one.
Share the following information with the Smeetz agent:
Your TeamViewer ID
The generated password
These details will allow our team to temporarily access your machine to assist you.
4. Configure Advanced Settings
Click on the gear icon (⚙️) in the top-right corner of TeamViewer to open the settings.
Click on Advanced, then on Show advanced options.
In the section Advanced settings for connections to this computer:
Look for the line “Random password after each session.”
Select the option “Keep current password.”
Confirm by clicking OK or Apply.
This step allows the agent to reconnect easily if needed, without having to request a new password for each session.
