How to install and set up your Smeetz kiosk

This article explains how to setup the kiosks to start onsite sales.

1. Install the hardware

The installation process may vary depending on the kiosk provider.
Your main action here is to ensure the payment terminal is correctly linked to the kiosk.

2. Install the software

  1. Go to the Google Play Store > Download the Smetz Kiosk App.

  2. Once downloaded, add the app to your desktop for easy access.

3. Set up the kiosk

  1. Open the Smeetz kiosk app.

  2. Log in using your Smeetz credentials

  3. Enter your Smeetz Group ID

    You can find it in the back office or directly in the URL of any page you open in the app.

  4. Select the payment terminal connected to your kiosk.

    To know which terminal you have connected to the Kiosk, go to the terminal > click on the 9 key and the green key > Information.

  5. Choose a device.

    If you have multiple kiosks, pre-created device names will help you identify them.

    To pre-create a device: go to Account details > Peripherals > Devices > Add a device.

  6. Select a sales collection.

    This defines which products are available on the kiosk.

  7. At each step, click Submit, then Finish at the end of the setup.

4. Optional: Set a quick login PIN

After setup:

  • Click on Set PIN Code

  • Create a 4-digit PIN for quicker future logins
