The widget builder is organized into five sections: General, Button, Content, Display, and Advanced. Each section is collapsible β open the one you need, configure, and move on.
π How to access: Revenue Management > Channels > Booking widgets > Create booking widget
1. General
Widget name: an internal label to identify this widget in your Smeetz account. Not visible to customers.
Integration type: choose how the widget appears on your website. There are three options:
Book button β the customer clicks a button on your website and a popup opens with the tickets and availability for one or more products.
Product calendar (single product) β the product is embedded directly on your web page. Once the customer picks a ticket and date, the widget opens to complete the booking.
β οΈ This integration type does not work with add-ons.
Product calendar (multiple products) β several products appear on the page, sorted by day, week, or month. The customer clicks one and the widget opens for booking.
Booking flow language: choose a specific language or set to Automatic to match the visitor's browser.
2. Button
Configure how the booking button looks on your website. Only applies to the Book button integration type.
Button type:
Fixed β the button stays in one position on the page.
Floating β the button follows the visitor as they scroll and is always visible.
Button colours: set the background, border, and text colours using HTML colour codes. You can find a full list of HTML colour codes online.
Button font: choose the font for the button text.
CSS classes: if you have custom styling, enter your CSS class names here.
Button label: the text displayed on the button (e.g. "Book now", "Get tickets").
Button radius: controls how rounded the button corners are.
3. Content
Choose what products and tickets appear in the widget.
Product: select the activity or product to sell through this widget.
Tickets: optionally pick specific tickets. If you don't select any, all tickets for the product are included.
Retail product: include retail products (e.g. merchandise, food items) if needed.
Membership type: if your widget is for memberships, choose whether to sell memberships only or also offer single tickets alongside them.
4. Display
Control how the booking flow appears to visitors.
Booking flow type: how tickets are displayed once a visitor opens the widget.
Lightbox β a modal view appears in the centre of the screen.
Right panel β a panel slides in from the right side of the screen.
Enable horizontal availabilities calendar on mobile view: when checked, mobile visitors see a horizontal date picker instead of a full calendar. Set the maximum number of dates to display.
Enable collapsed price list: for products with many ticket types, collapse the price list and show only a set number upfront (e.g. 3). The rest is hidden behind a See more link. Visitors can expand to see all options.
5. Advanced
Shopping cart: enable to let customers add multiple products to a cart and buy them in one transaction. Contact your account manager for more details about this feature.
Custom link: add a URL that visitors are redirected to after completing their booking.
6. Preview and publish
On the right side of the page you'll find a live preview of your widget. Use it to test your settings before copying the embed code.
We recommend testing everything in the preview before publishing. Make sure the booking flow, colours, and content match what you expect.
Once ready, copy the HTML code and install it on your website. See this article for instructions on how to install the widget on different website platforms.
