The datalogic scanner must be connected to a USB port on the POS.
Setup the QuickScan™ 2500
1. Make the configuration
Scan the 3 following codes, in the right order.
Make sure to scan only one code and hide the others at each step.
2. Test the configuration
In order to ensure that the setup is correct, please go to Notes/Word or any text editor app and scan the following barcode with the scanner.
CORRECT: If the scanner writes smeetzpos12345 on the text editor
INCORRECT: if you obtain something else with prefix/suffix/additional characters or wrong characters.
If you have errors based on keyboard (AZERTY vs QWERTY), try to restart the configuration with another language at step 3 (France, UK, US etc.) OR change the language of your keyboard (which is a different setting than the language of your computer).
If prefix or suffix, you can restart from Scan 1 a second time.
Make a test again.
Other configuration possibilities (sounds, bips etc) are possible by using that file: QuickScan 2500 Family Product Reference Guide eng.pdf
