1. What is a booking widget

A booking widget is an extension that is installed on your website in order to, for example, allow your customers to book their tickets directly. Using the booking widget on your own website has many advantages.

  1. The booking widget adds a "call to action" to your website. Its visual appearance and simplicity encourages your customers to book your activities/events directly. Our widget is known for its UX and high conversion rate.
  2. Traffic is not redirected to a third party booking site and stays on your website. This gives you a better overview of your customers, allowing you to promote your brand and build customer loyalty.
  3. You can also cross-sell products (transport, tickets, drinks, table reservations, audio guides, merchandising, memberships, etc.).

The activities created and published in your Smeetz for Business account will appear in the widget. For each activity, your customers will be able to choose the ticket, quantity, payment methods and then pay online.

2. Why allowing online bookings on your website?

The traffic will not be redirected to a third-party booking site and will stay on your website. You promote your brand and branding.

The booking widget also allows you to cross-sell products (transportation, ticket, drink, table booking, headphones for a "silent", commercial products, etc....).

The booking widget adds a "call to action" to your website. Its visual aspect prompts your customers to book your activities/events on the spot.

3. The different types of booking widget

There are many design options for your booking widgets. Here are some examples of designs and functions:

  1. Booking flow: You are able to decide how your tickets are displayed once the client has selected the booking button.
  2. Tickets: You are able to decide which tickets will show up on which widget on your website
  3. Button design: You are able to design the button, which the client will select in order to book an activity. Decisions can be made on the color, text, size and if it's floating or fixed.
    • Floating button: This button moves with the page and is always visible
    • Fixed button: This button is fixed in one area on the page

4. Widget Design

There are two design options:

A floating button that is visible on every page of your website. When the user clicks on it, all activities are visible and he can select one (for example, the “Laisse-Toi Aller” button).
One widget per type of activity. When the user clicks on it, it becomes the availability for the particular activity (e.g. the “Booking” buttons).
