1. What is Google Things to Do?
When a traveler searches for an attraction on Google (e.g. a museum, zoo, or national park), Google displays a Tickets tab in the search results. This tab shows links to book the attraction — including a direct link to your own website, alongside OTAs.
When the traveler clicks your link, they are redirected to your website where they can complete the booking via your Smeetz booking widget.
Unlike other OTAs, Google Things to Do sends travelers directly to your website — not a third-party platform. This means you need an active Smeetz booking widget embedded on your website before activating this channel.
2. Eligibility Requirements
Before activating Google Things to Do, make sure your product meets Google's criteria:
Point of Interest – Your attraction must be a recognized physical location on Google Maps (e.g. museum, park, zoo)
Booking widget on Google Search – When searching your attraction on Google, an Admissions & Experiences section must appear on the right side of the results
Images – Your product must have at least one image (min. 300x300px), without promotional text, watermarks, or logos
Detailed Page URL – You must have a product page on your own website with a Book Now button (where your Smeetz widget is embedded)
Product Category – Your product must be categorized as either a Guided Tour or Self-Guided Tour
Content in English – Google Things to Do currently requires product content to be in English
