How to receive remote assistance via TeamViewer

At Smeetz, we use TeamViewer to provide fast and secure remote support. Follow the steps below to download, install, and properly configure the tool.

1. Download TeamViewer (full version)

  1. Download TeamViewer from the official website:
    👉 https://www.teamviewer.com/download/

  2. Select TeamViewer (Full Client) for your operating system (Windows).

2. Install TeamViewer

  • Once the file is downloaded, double-click it to open.

  • Choose Default installation when prompted.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions until installation is complete.

3. Set up unattended access

  1. Click the gear icon (⚙️) in the top-right corner to open Settings.

  2. Go to Advanced > Show advanced options.

  3. Under Advanced settings for connections to this computer:

    • Find “Random password after each session” and select “Keep current password”.

    • This ensures the password remains valid for the agent if reconnection is needed.

  4. Click OK or Apply to confirm.

4. Share your access details with the Smeetz Agent

Please provide your Smeetz contact with the following information:

  • Your TeamViewer ID

  • The permanent password

This will allow the support team to connect whenever assistance is required, without needing to reconfigure the connection.
