When gift cards are purchased at the door, users will receive a card with a QR and voucher code.
They can redeem the voucher amount both online and onsite:
The user can use the voucher code to make bookings online. They have to process a regular booking > add tickets to the basket > enter the voucher code into the “discount" field > continue to payment (the amount of the card will be deducted from the booking).
Or scan the QR code to make bookings onsite at the point of sale or self-service kiosk (the amount of the card will be deducted from the booking).
What will be displayed on the gift cards
The QR code
The voucher code
The gift card value
Optional: the customer name (to display this, you need to set up a ticket custom field for the gift card - first name and last name)
Tips and tricks for printed cards
Back side: Design the back of the card in advance to have your design/logo printed on it. With Smeetz, you will only be able to print the fields explained above on the front side.
Front side: If you want a background colour for the front of the card, use a pastel colour to ensure the text printed on top of it is easy to read. Otherwise, keep it white.
