Cancel and refund an order on the point of sale

Follow these steps to cancel and refund tickets on the POS.

From the POS, you can modify an order made online, on the POS, or in the back office.

1. Cancel a sale on the POS

  1. To modify an order made online, on the POS or in the back-office, click on Orders in the bottom navigation bar

    1. Open it from the order list, you can search for the reference and click Select Order on the right.

    2. Or scan the QR code of a ticket by clicking on the icon from the main page.

  2. The order will open on the POS with the confirmed tickets in yellow in the cart.

  3. You can now choose the tickets you want to cancel by clicking the the red trash bin.

  4. A pop-up window appears with the list of tickets in that category > Select the ticket you want to cancel > Click the red icon.

  5. A second pop-up window will ask you to confirm your choice > Click OK.

  6. You can repeat the procedure for all tickets to be cancelled or close the window.

  7. In the order summary, you will see the cancelled tickets.

2. Process a refund from the POS

  1. Click Continue to Payment to process the refund after cancelling tickets.

  2. Select Refund as the payment method.

  3. Choose the desired refund method and click Apply.

  4. Then click Complete Order.

  5. You have now refunded the cancelled ticket.

Special note for refunds by cards

  • Card refunds are configured at the POS system level and are disabled by default.

  • To enable this feature, the organiser must activate it in the back-office POS configuration:

  1. Go to General Settings.

  2. Activate Enable refund via Adyen.

  • Refunds are only available for orders fully paid by card.

  • Orders with discounts cannot be refunded by card at this moment.
