Scan the Swiss Night Pass

This article describes the procedure to follow if you want to scan the Swiss Night Pass.

1. Getting access to the scanner


Here are the different steps to follow if you wish to obtain access to the scanner and thus manage efficiently and safely the attendance lists that have become mandatory in clubs and some bars:

If you are already using the Smeetz for Business platform, you have access to the scanner and can go directly to point 2.


1.1 Create your account at https://app.smeetz.com

1.2 Contact us by email at hello@save-the-night.ch or by phone at +41 21 588 19 26 to inform us that your account has been created.

We will then be able to link your account to the Swiss Night Pass so that you can scan them.

We will contact you once this is done.

2. Using the scanner

Using the scanner is relatively simple. Just follow the few steps below:

2.1 Save the Smeetz web app on your device for easy access to the scanner: https://knowledge.smeetz.com/fr/installing-application


2.2 Giving access to the scanner to members of your team: https://knowledge.smeetz.com/fr/add-member

This will allow your security team or the personnel scanning the tickets to access the scanner without your login and password.

This step requires a Plus plan.
Please contact us directly if you do not have access to the "Members" section.

2.3 Login to your account at https://app.smeetz.com

2.4 Go to Applications at the top right of your screen and select Ticket Scanner.

2.5 Settings


  • Select activity: Swiss Night Pass
  • Ticket: Leave blank
  • Scan type: "Scan and validate" to register entries
                       "Scan and exit" to register exits
  • Start date and time: Leave blank

    You can then start scanner

    2.6 Scan the Passes using a mobile phone / IPad

We advise you to try the scanner in advance to avoid any problems with your customers when scanning their Pass.

3. Overview of live scans and legal requirements


For data protection reasons, the names of the participants will not appear on the various online dashboards and will be identified by a ticket number.

The law requires that in the event of a COVID-19 being found in your establishment, you must be able to provide within the next 2 hours the names and telephone numbers of all persons present at the same time as the person affected.

QuickSight Account Name: smeetz
User: The email address of your Smeetz account.
Password: The password to your Smeetz account.

Once you are logged into your account, please select the location "Francfort" in your settings at the top right of your screen.

You will then see the table "Swiss Night Pass" appear and you can retrieve the desired lists by filtering by date.
