This article will explain how you can send a payment link to your customers directly from Create a sale page.

1. Payment link overview and benefits

Payment link is a possibility to link a payment link to an order, for backoffice sales (from Create a Sale) or invoices. The goal is to:

  • Automate the payment process & payment status update using this payment link. You will be able to see live the payment status of an order using this feature. Gain time instead of sending an invoice, waiting for a bank transfer to be done & then reconciliating on Smeetz by manually applying a payment method.

  • Settle you bookings remotely with less friction for your customers.

  • Keep customers from abandoning their bookings, or sell some extra tickets for special occasions.

2. How to use a payment link

There are different ways to send a payment link to the customers

  1. Through Create a sale (order and invoice):

    1. You can select Payment link as a payment method like below:

    2. You have then 2 possibilities:

      1. Paste the payment link and send it in a separated email.

      1. Complete the order & send the payment link by email directly with the invoice.

  2. Payment link expiry date is set up at the creation of payment link, up to 70 days in the future.

  3. Once the payment is done by the visitor, the payment status of the order will be automatically updated as well as the invoice status.
